# HackerRank Raises $7.5 Million from Japanese Firm Recruit

BENGALURU: Recruitment platform HackerRank received a $7.5 million (Rs 47.6 crore) strategic investment from Japanese firm Recruit Holdings’ HR Technology Fund to accelerate its growth.  
 HackerRank is used by programmers to hone their coding skills and by companies to recruit tech talent. Co-founded in 2012 by Vivek Ravisankar and Harishankaran Karunanidhi, the graduate of Silicon Valley-based Y Combinator has over a million developers on its platforms, who are recruited by over 1,000 ..
